Quality Systems Manager (Food Safety)

Location: Fully remote, with biannual in-person off-sites.

Base salary: $125,000–$140,000 annually plus bonus, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Own, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the corporate Quality Management System across multiple facilities.
• Manage document control, change control, quality records, training systems, and corporate quality standards.
• Administer Veeva QualityOne, including configuration support, workflows, reporting, data integrity, and user adoption.
• Provide governance for CAPAs, deviations, non-conformances, OOS events, complaint trending, investigations, and effectiveness checks.
• Prepare quality metrics and performance trends for management reviews and support internal, customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
• Partner with Quality, Operations, Product, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and facility teams to standardize quality processes and address systemic risks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Quality Systems or Quality Assurance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience implementing and improving QMS in a regulated food, dietary supplement, consumer health, or related environment.
• Working knowledge of FDA requirements, including 21 CFR Part 111, and current Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Experience with document control, change control, training systems, CAPA, deviations, OOS investigations, complaint trending, quality metrics, and electronic QMS.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Veeva QualityOne.
• Knowledge of GFSI or SQF quality and food safety requirements.
• Certifications or formal training in quality systems, auditing, HACCP, SQF/GFSI, root cause analysis, or CAPA.
