Quality Associate/Auditor (Food Safety)

Location: Visalia, California; onsite. Full-time Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM PST, with flexibility based on coverage. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required during audits or business needs.

Salary: $43,500–$52,000 per year, plus eligibility for annual performance incentives.

What you will do

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled internal SQF audits throughout warehouse and distribution operations.
• Verify compliance with SQF, FDA, FSMA, GMP, HACCP, customer, and company requirements.
• Inspect receiving, storage, inventory handling, shipping, sanitation, pest control, equipment, and employee practices.
• Investigate quality concerns, customer complaints, food safety incidents, and audit findings.
• Issue corrective action requests, verify CAPA effectiveness, and support root cause investigations.
• Prepare audit reports, maintain compliance documentation, and participate in SQF certification, customer, and regulatory audits.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in food safety, warehouse quality, or quality assurance.
• Working knowledge of SQF Food Safety Code, HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, sanitation programs, and warehouse operations.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and objective audit and inspection skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to frequently walk through warehouse facilities, stand for extended periods, climb stairs and ladders, occasionally lift up to 35 pounds, and wear required PPE.
• Ability to work onsite in Visalia, California, Monday through Friday during scheduled operating hours.

Nice to have
