Equipment Specialist (Vaccines)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada; onsite. Monday to Friday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. The schedule will change in 2027.

Pay rate: $47.18 per hour

What you will do

• Oversee day-to-day influenza manufacturing operations and support production scheduling.
• Set up, troubleshoot, clean, inspect, and perform minor repairs or part replacements on production equipment.
• Perform autonomous maintenance, preventive maintenance, selected calibration activities, utility sampling, and environmental monitoring.
• Complete GMP documentation, SAP notifications and work orders, material transactions, deviation investigations, and CAPA activities.
• Support equipment qualification, validation, process improvements, change controls, audits, and inspection readiness.
• Coordinate with maintenance, manufacturing technology, quality control, quality operations, internal departments, and external vendors while supporting HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Three-year college diploma in Engineering, Science, Biotechnology, or an equivalent discipline.
• At least 18 months of relevant work experience required; two years preferred.
• Knowledge of upstream, downstream, and MWS equipment and procedures.
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to work the stated overnight Monday-to-Friday schedule.
• Ability to follow HSE, PPE, lockout/tagout, de-energization, cleaning, and sanitation procedures.
