Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Location: Barcelona; hybrid policy with three days per week at the Paris office, including mandatory Mondays. The role also includes two remote days per week, one remote work week per quarter, and three flex days.

What you will do

• Build, launch, monitor, and support services in an agile “build it and run it” environment.
• Design and improve efficient, loosely coupled services as the platform evolves from a monolith to a distributed architecture.
• Contribute to system design, architecture improvements, performance optimization, and scalability initiatives.
• Own services across their release schedules, data, service-level objectives, tooling, and operational support.
• Facilitate technical discussions, explore high-impact technologies, and help mitigate complex production issues.
• Collaborate with squad members, Staff Engineers, and technical chapters while sharing knowledge across teams.

Requirements

• English proficiency is required for collaboration with an international team across the US, France, Spain, and Japan.
• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong system design skills and experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of data architecture and APIs, with experience in performance optimization and scalability.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and the ability to build frontend features independently.
• Strong collaboration, communication, end-to-end product thinking, and the ability to navigate ambiguity across technical domains.

Nice to have

• Experience with frontend state management, routing, API integration, performance, accessibility, and UX implementation.
• Curiosity about the full technology stack and experience contributing across technical domains.
