Software Engineer, Mission Execution (Robotics)

What you will do

• Design and build mission execution infrastructure that turns planned missions into reliable, real-time behavior across fleets of autonomous systems.
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs for mission guidance, orchestration, agent communication, and execution.
• Build production-grade software in C++ and Python for real-time and resource-constrained environments.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, code review standards, observability, and release discipline.
• Partner with Mission Planning, simulation, and product teams to integrate algorithms and deploy tested systems in the field.
• Analyze logs and telemetry from tests and live operations to identify failure modes and drive systemic fixes.

Requirements

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong C++ and Python skills with solid software engineering fundamentals in system design, concurrency, testing, and debugging.
• Experience building and shipping production software, ideally distributed or real-time systems.
• Strong communication skills, rigor, ownership, and a strong instinct for quality.
• Commitment to hirify.global's mission and operational excellence.

Nice to have

• Experience in robotics, embedded software, or video game development, including game engines, simulation, deterministic replay, or tooling.
• Experience in aerospace or defense.
• Familiarity with simulation frameworks.
