AI Network Software Engineer (M/F)

What you will do

• Design and evolve IP and Software-Defined Networking architectures across control, management, and data planes.
• Develop software for network control, automation, and orchestration, including SDN controllers, VNFs, network services, APIs, and tooling.
• Define test scenarios and validation strategies for functional and performance testing of network and SDN solutions.
• Prototype and evaluate innovative networking concepts with machine learning, networking, software, and systems specialists.
• Document architecture decisions, implementations, and validation results, and participate in technical reviews, demonstrations, and presentations.
• Contribute to intellectual property through patents and technical publications.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, including protocols, routing, switching, traffic engineering, and SDN architectures.
• Experience with software-based networking, network virtualization, NFV, VNF/CNF, and SDN frameworks.
• Strong software development and software architecture skills with Python, Java, C/C++, Rust, and Bash.
• Experience with Linux, Docker or Podman, Kubernetes, Git, CI pipelines, and networking technologies such as OpenFlow, P4, gRPC, and REST.
• Security clearance is required, or eligibility for clearance by the recognized authorities is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Dell or HP servers and Juniper or Cisco firewall configuration.
• Basic understanding of machine learning.
• Experience with ContainerLab, Mininet, ONOS, OpenDayLight, or TeraflowSDN.
