Managing Director, Investments

What you will do

• Support investment due diligence, including investor and manager meetings, document reviews, reference checks, and private placement questionnaires.
• Review investment and legal documents, manage legal counsel, and negotiate terms with prospective investment managers.
• Oversee investment manager compliance reporting, investment reviews, cash management programs, and banking relationships.
• Support investment strategy development, manager selection, performance reporting, and revisions to investment policy.
• Direct investment reporting and reconciliation with custodians, managers, and consultants, including accounting for the Cash Concentration Pool and System Endowment Fund.
• Supervise and train investment team members and provide investment updates to CFO meetings and system stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree in Business or a CPA, CAIA, or CFA credential.
• At least 10 years of experience in investments.
• Ability to analyze and summarize financial information clearly and concisely.
• Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with spreadsheet and word-processing software.
• Restricted to U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents; subject to a criminal history investigation and credential verification.
