Non-Financial Risk Control Specialist (Banking)

What you will do

• Review existing Risk & Control Frameworks and follow up on identified control gaps.
• Improve control design, effectiveness, and implementation across selected organisational areas.
• Redesign and strengthen controls, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
• Work with 1st Line Control Owners, Policy/Risk Type Owners, business-as-usual risk teams, and programme workstreams.
• Support the development of training and stakeholder communication materials.
• Use GRC workflows to implement and optimise controls and improve alignment across the risk and control lifecycle.

Requirements

• Solid experience in Non-Financial Risk, Risk & Control, or Governance, preferably in banking.
• Strong experience building, implementing, or optimising Non-Financial Risk & Control Frameworks.
• Strong understanding of control design, control effectiveness, and control testing.
• Strong knowledge of GRC workflows and experience identifying and remediating control gaps.
• Knowledge of key banking processes and experience working in regulatory or risk transformation environments.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with 1st Line teams, Risk teams, Policy Owners, and other stakeholders.
