Senior Software Developer (Python/React/Vue)

Location: On-site in Columbia, Maryland, US, or Annapolis Junction, Maryland, US

Salary: $200,000–$275,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead a small development team supporting a mission-critical Enterprise Support Services application.
• Translate customer and stakeholder needs into technical requirements and application enhancements.
• Build responsive web interfaces and scalable backend services using Python and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and relational databases, with primary expertise in PostgreSQL and additional experience with Oracle and SQL Server.
• Containerize and deploy applications with Docker on Linux servers, while contributing to Git/GitLab workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Diagnose defects, conduct unit testing, execute upgrades, and improve application performance and maintainability in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline plus 12 years of software development or engineering experience, or 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Python full-stack development, Django, FastAPI or Flask, React or Vue, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with JavaScript, unit testing, Git/GitLab, CI/CD, Docker, Linux, and Agile software development.
• Ability to work on-site in Columbia or Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

Nice to have

• Experience leading sprint planning, managing backlogs, and delivering enterprise-level applications.
• Experience with scalable, secure, and high-performance systems.
• Experience managing systems in virtual hosting environments, including AWS.
