TL;DR

Working Student on 5G and LEO Satellite Communication Signals (d/f/m) (5G/LEO satellite communications): Researching positioning signal structures, pilot-signal acquisition, data demodulation, and signal-processing algorithms with an accent on navigation receivers, modulation, and software-defined radio. Focus on developing real-time algorithms in Matlab, Python, or C++ and conducting laboratory experiments with prototype and existing signals.

Location: Taufkirchen / Ottobrunn in the Munich area, Germany. The position is primarily based at the company premises; mobile working may be possible by agreement with the department.

hirify.global supports the Airbus Navigation Team in developing and researching advanced 5G and LEO satellite communication signal technologies.

What you will do

Research 5G and LEO satellite communication positioning signal structures, including pilot and data components and multiplexing.
Research acquisition of pilot signal components and data demodulation methods.
Develop signal-processing algorithms in Matlab, Python, or C++ for real-time operations.
Conduct laboratory experiments with software-defined radio on prototype and existing 5G and LEO satellite communication signals.

Requirements

Currently enrolled full-time at a university or higher-education institution in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Navigation, or a comparable field.
Solid understanding of signal modulation and navigation receivers, with a strong interest in signal processing and navigation.
Experience with software-defined radio and signal processing of field recordings.
Programming experience with Python, C++, or Matlab, preferably for real-time algorithm development.
Fluent English; strong communication, teamwork, and independent-working skills.
