IT Operations Manager (Azure)

Location: Leeds, United Kingdom; hybrid work with at least two days per week in a TU office

What you will do

• Lead the design, deployment, maintenance, and 24/7 operation of data centre and Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Provide reliable Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capabilities to delivery and operational teams.
• Implement DevOps and Infrastructure as Code practices to automate deployments and improve platform delivery.
• Monitor availability, performance, utilisation, and capacity while maintaining at least 99.9% service availability.
• Lead infrastructure security activities, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and responses to incidents and outages.
• Coach and develop the Platform and Infrastructure team while delivering projects with internal stakeholders, vendors, and managed service providers.

Requirements

• Experience leading enterprise infrastructure operations across data centre and cloud environments.
• Experience managing and developing infrastructure engineering or operations teams in a 24/7 service environment.
• Strong knowledge of resilience, capacity planning, disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response.
• Practical expertise in Microsoft Azure, Nutanix, Windows, Linux, storage, and virtualisation technologies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of relevant security and regulatory frameworks, including ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR, or HIPAA.
