DevOps Engineer (PostgreSQL)

What you will do

• Upgrade, maintain, and performance-test PostgreSQL database platforms.
• Patch, upgrade, harden, monitor, and administer Debian/Linux operating systems.
• Build and test disaster recovery solutions, including failover procedures and periodic testing.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable and repeatable application and infrastructure deployments.
• Administer and tune Apache Tomcat application servers supporting Java applications.
• Troubleshoot production issues across operating system, database, and application layers while supporting infrastructure projects and compliance activities.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience as a Linux Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, or in a similar role, ideally with Debian or Ubuntu.
• Practical PostgreSQL administration experience, including major-version upgrades.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.
• Experience administering Apache Tomcat or similar Java application servers.
• Experience building and testing disaster recovery solutions, with strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure layers.
• Familiarity with security hardening, access controls, auditing, logging, Bash or Python scripting, and coordination with Development and Infrastructure teams.

Nice to have

• Awareness of or practical experience with ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 management system frameworks.
