Principal Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States; hybrid arrangement with telecommuting permitted one day per week. Worksite: 645 E Missouri Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85012; 40 hours per week.

What you will do

• Develop, modify, and implement software solutions and applications supporting banking operations.
• Build architecturally sound components, tools, and distributed service-based applications.
• Ensure security, scalability, manageability, maintainability, high availability, and low latency.
• Contribute to solution design, Agile practices, enterprise architecture, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Evaluate and prevent vulnerabilities throughout the software development process.
• Guide junior engineers through code reviews, technical workshops, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Six years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software development for the financial services industry.
• Six years of experience querying, analyzing, and managing big data.
• Experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Angular, React, front-end frameworks, data structures, Bash, and Linux.
• Experience managing sensitive assets with AWS and Azure and using Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines.
• Successful completion of a background check, which may include credit, employment, public record, motor vehicle, and criminal background checks.
