Scripted Development Intern (Television)

Location: Central London, United Kingdom; on-site in the office four days per week. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the full internship period from 5 July 2027 to 21 July 2028.

What you will do

• Support Universal Global Television’s International Scripted Development team.
• Manage submissions of scripts, books, and other development materials.
• Read and report on books and scripts while developing editorial judgment.
• Conduct project-specific research based on briefs from writers and development staff.
• Update databases and create and distribute regular alerts and memos.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support and occasional cover for the Development Assistant.

Requirements

• UK work eligibility without restriction for the duration of the internship.
• Ability to work in the Central London office on-site four days per week.
• Current undergraduate student returning to full-time education in Autumn 2028, or a recent A-Levels, equivalent course, or Apprenticeship graduate seeking work experience.
• Passion for scripted television, screenwriters, film, and media, with a desire to learn how television is made.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; confident use of Microsoft Office.
