Archive Researcher

Location: London – Television Centre, United Kingdom; onsite role

Salary: Up to £27,000 per year plus £5,441 London Weighting, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

What you will do

• Respond to archive research briefs and source relevant content for hirify.global digital audiences.
• Review archive material and support rights checks, content assessments, and clearance activities.
• Maintain accurate records of research, rights positions, and content assessments in internal systems.
• Liaise with Rights teams, Editorial teams, and archive content suppliers.
• Research material against editorial briefs, audience needs, and hirify.global policies, escalating relevant opportunities.

Requirements

• Passion for archive content, television, digital media, and the wider media industry.
• Strong research and information-gathering skills, with accuracy in detailed and process-driven work.
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate record-keeping abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Eligibility to work checks are required before employment.

Nice to have

• Awareness of hirify.global Editorial Guidelines, compliance requirements, accuracy, and impartiality.
• Experience reading post-production documentation such as PasC and MRF paperwork.
• Experience or demonstrated interest in archive or footage research.
• Familiarity with archive management systems, content databases, or rights-management tools.
• Problem-solving skills for research and clearance challenges.
