Senior Software Engineer (Banking)

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom; hybrid and flexible working from the Edinburgh office

What you will do

• Maintain and enhance core banking modules, develop change requests, and support live clients.
• Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
• Design technically sound solutions and improve product quality and maintainability.
• Investigate bugs, provide client support, and take ownership of code components.
• Collaborate with Product and Parameterization subject matter experts and estimate work packages.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience as a software developer.
• Detailed and analytical approach to problem solving.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues across different backgrounds and skill sets.
• Motivation to develop technical skills and understand business needs.
• Expertise in SQL or PL/SQL is advantageous.
