Marketing & Events Manager

Location: Oxford Road, Manchester, United Kingdom. The position is a 12-month fixed-term maternity leave cover role. Online interviews are expected on 14 and 15 October.

The Masood Entrepreneurship Centre is the hirify.global's focal point for student entrepreneurship, enterprise education, and early-stage venture support.

What you will do

• Plan, promote, and deliver flagship competitions, events, and marketing campaigns.
• Manage events including the Venture Further Awards, Venture Builder Demo Day, Startup Weekend, and Global Entrepreneurship Week.
• Develop campaigns that engage students, graduates, and researchers with enterprise and entrepreneurship.
• Increase participation in programmes and raise the visibility of the Masood Entrepreneurship Centre.
• Coordinate event delivery from concept development and stakeholder engagement through to logistics, promotion, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• Showcase the achievements of student and graduate founders.

Requirements

• Strong experience in marketing, communications, event management, or a related field.
• Experience developing and implementing creative, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, engage diverse stakeholders, and deliver high-quality campaigns and events in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organised, creative, and proactive approach.
• Ability to build relationships across the University and the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Nice to have

• Experience working with academic and professional services colleagues, the Students' Union, student societies, external partners, and founders.
• Experience supporting entrepreneurship, enterprise education, or early-stage venture activity.
• Experience delivering high-profile competitions, events, or campaigns in a higher education environment.
