Procurement Lead (12 Month FTC) (Telecoms Security Act)

Location: Newbury and London, United Kingdom; hybrid office attendance required 2–3 days per week and at least 8 days per month

What you will do

• Ensure supplier contracts, renewals, and variations include Telecoms Security Act-aligned security, resilience, and reporting clauses.
• Prepare and manage evidence packs for external audits, regulatory submissions, and governance forums.
• Support end-to-end compliance with Telecoms Security Act reporting obligations.
• Update related procurement policies, standards, processes, and supplier assurance frameworks.
• Contribute to wider security and resilience programmes and deliver the plan for the role.
• Work with senior stakeholders across Regulatory, Legal, Security, procurement, and supplier teams to identify, manage, and mitigate risks.

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of the Telecoms Security Act from a previous Procurement Lead or managerial role.
• Experience with Telecoms Security Act-related procurement policies, standards, processes, and supplier assurance frameworks.
• Experience developing complex, business-wide category and supplier strategies.
• Senior stakeholder business partnering experience, including work with legal, security, regulatory, and supplier teams.
• Ability to communicate complex technical and regulatory information clearly and develop practical, risk-balanced solutions.
