Accountant

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa; hybrid work in the local hirify.global office

What you will do

• Reconcile monthly EMEA balance sheets to the general ledger and minimize outstanding items.
• Perform month-end close activities, including asset, liability, and inter-company journal entries.
• Prepare accounting reports, maintain accurate accounting system records, and support international reporting.
• Provide accounting support to employees and finance teams and resolve accounting queries.
• Manage external auditor queries and assist with statutory financial statements and BBBEE reporting.
• Support general accounting, finance, administration, and ad hoc projects across global teams.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• SAIPA qualification is beneficial.
• Ability to work flexibly in a constantly changing, high-growth environment.
