Data Test Engineer/Data Validation Tester (Azure DevOps)

Location: Pensacola, Florida; hybrid schedule with onsite work three days per week. Local candidates only.

What you will do

• Establish and continuously improve standardized, repeatable, and audit-ready testing methodologies for data feed onboarding, integrations, deployments, and defect remediation.
• Create test plans, manual test cases, test scenarios, test results, knowledge articles, and sign-off documentation.
• Test complex data feeds, integrations, and transformation processes across production and non-production environments.
• Validate data from source to target using SQL, profiling, reconciliation, and data quality checks.
• Document defects, perform root-cause analysis, assess risks and downstream impacts, and communicate findings to developers and stakeholders.
• Develop testing standards, SOPs, governance processes, and scalable approaches that support future automation.

Requirements

• Must be a local candidate able to work onsite in Pensacola three days per week.
• 5+ years of experience in data validation or technology testing.
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans and Defect Management.
• Experience with SQL, relational databases, data profiling, reconciliation, data quality validation, and source-to-target testing.
• Experience creating test plans and manual test cases, managing defects, performing root-cause analysis, and documenting testing methodologies, SOPs, and governance standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience; SDLC experience and strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• ISTQB CTFL certification.
• ISTQB Advanced certification in Agile Testing, Test Analysis, or Test Management.
• Scaled Agile Framework certification such as Leading SAFe or PO/PM.
