Generative AI Developer (AWS/Python)

Location: Hybrid in Lafayette, Louisiana; Knoxville, Tennessee; Columbia, South Carolina; or Birmingham, Alabama, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

Salary: $108,600 annually.

What you will do

• Develop and enhance generative AI applications and services using Python and AWS.
• Integrate LLMs and generative AI capabilities into enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and cloud services.
• Build REST APIs and backend services connecting AI models with supporting data sources.
• Apply prompt engineering, LLM APIs, and RAG techniques to business use cases.
• Participate across the SDLC, including requirements analysis, development, unit testing, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and implementation support.
• Collaborate with developers, QA teams, business analysts, and technical stakeholders while following enterprise security and deployment standards.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on Python development experience with enterprise applications or services.
• Hands-on experience developing generative AI applications and working with LLMs, LLM APIs, and prompt engineering.
• Experience developing and deploying applications in AWS cloud environments, including AWS AI/ML or application services.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, backend services, application integrations, databases, and enterprise data sources.
• Experience with unit testing, debugging, Git, CI/CD pipelines, secure development, and modern SDLC practices.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience with Retrieval Augmented Generation, vector search, embeddings, or vector databases.
• Exposure to Amazon Bedrock.
• AWS, cloud, AI, or machine learning certifications.
• Experience in financial services, mortgage, or banking.
