Director, Mergers & Acquisitions Integration

Location: Reading, Berkshire, United Kingdom; willingness to work on site at the acquired company is required, particularly during the first six months post-close. Availability to travel around 10% is required.

What you will do

• Lead acquisition integration planning and execution from the Letter of Intent through steady-state operations.
• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams spanning HR, Finance, IT, Commercial, Legal, Quality, and Operations.
• Develop integration plans and budgets, track milestones in Smartsheet, and maintain accurate governance reporting.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, escalations, and integration decisions across acquired and hirify.global stakeholders.
• Facilitate change acceptance, cross-company communication, cultural alignment, and interim operating arrangements.
• Track synergy realization, protect acquired capabilities, and conduct After Action Reviews to improve the integration playbook.

Requirements

• Experience leading complex, cross-functional programs, ideally in life sciences, CRO, CDMO, or professional services.
• Experience with M&A, post-merger integration, business transformation, or large-scale change programs is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of HR, Finance, IT, Legal, Commercial, Quality, and Operations disciplines.
• Strong planning, communication, stakeholder management, decision-making, conflict navigation, and change leadership skills.
• Proficiency with project and portfolio tracking tools, particularly Smartsheet.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is advantageous.
