Trainee Buyer - 2027 (Fashion)

What you will do

• Develop an understanding of the product development process, including sourcing materials, negotiating costs, and approving colour, fabric, and fit.
• Liaise with suppliers from Europe to the Far East and track samples for selection meetings and production.
• Prepare garments and accessories for selection meetings, trade meetings, and online photoshoots.
• Research fashion trends, identify new product opportunities, and conduct competitor shop analysis.
• Maintain accurate buying systems, sample storage, and approval libraries.
• Work with trainee merchandisers to analyse daily best and worst sellers and make recommendations.

Requirements

• Interest in high-end fashion, market trends, and product development.
• Strong organisation, analytical, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and contribute effectively to team collaboration.
• Include a cover letter addressing relevant skills, interests, expected challenges, and a current trend of interest.
• The role is not eligible for skilled worker sponsorship. Existing visa holders must have immigration status allowing completion of the training and future employment.
