TL;DR
Lab Specialist (Analytical Chemistry): Supporting laboratory operations and developing analytical methods for photoresists, laminates, metallization materials, and semiconductor cleaning chemistries with an accent on sample preparation, instrument operation, method validation, and materials characterization. Focus on interpreting analytical data, identifying impurities, collaborating with R&D on formulation development, and maintaining safe, compliant laboratory operations.
Location: Hsinchu City, Hsinchu County, Taiwan; full-time, onsite role with flexible morning, afternoon, and weekend shifts as required.

What you will do
- Support daily laboratory operations, including sample preparation, analytical testing, instrument operation and maintenance, request management, data interpretation, and facility upkeep.
- Develop and optimize analytical methodologies for new products, including photoresists, laminates, metallization materials, and semiconductor cleaning chemistries.
- Establish and validate methods for quality control, impurity identification, and raw material and product characterization.
- Collaborate with R&D teams on formulation development, problem-solving, and technical decision-making.
- Maintain laboratory safety, quality, and operational compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- At least one year of hands-on experience operating analytical instruments such as LC-MS, GC-MS, IC, and related platforms.
- Experience analyzing and characterizing plating baths, dielectric materials, and/or photoresist materials.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and maintaining a compliant laboratory environment.
- Willingness to work flexible morning, afternoon, and weekend shifts.
Nice to have
- Experience with non-targeted screening and fingerprint analysis using Compound Discoverer.
- Initiative, a positive attitude, and eagerness to develop new technical skills.
