Engineer Principal, Supplier Quality (MEMS & LCOS)

Location: Pathumthani, Thailand (Navanakorn); on-site role with travel to supplier sites as required

What you will do

• Manage supplier quality for MEMS and LCOS devices, wafers, components, assemblies, and semiconductor materials.
• Lead supplier qualification, capability assessments, process and product audits, and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Evaluate wafer fabrication, MEMS formation, bonding, wafer-level packaging, dicing, assembly, optical alignment, testing, and inspection processes.
• Drive supplier quality activities from new product introduction through mass production, including design reviews, process qualification, first article inspection, and production ramp-up.
• Lead root-cause analysis, failure analysis, corrective actions, supplier change assessments, and alternative supplier qualification.
• Track supplier DPPM, yield, process capability, audit performance, corrective-action closure, qualification milestones, and change-control effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, semiconductor engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, optics, physics, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in semiconductor quality, supplier quality, wafer manufacturing, optical components, or advanced packaging.
• Experience with semiconductor suppliers, wafer fabs, OSATs, MEMS manufacturers, optical component suppliers, or display-related suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, quality systems, supplier management, 8D, CAPA, SPC, MSA, FMEA, control plans, and process capability analysis.
• Experience with supplier audits, process qualification, engineering drawings, specifications, test data, process data, and reliability reports.
• Fluent written and spoken English required; willingness to travel to supplier sites required.

Nice to have

• Experience with MEMS, LCOS cells, optical-electrical products, wafer-level packaging, flip-chip, wire bonding, die attach, or optical alignment.
• Experience with optical and electrical characterization, semiconductor reliability testing, contamination control, and accelerated life testing.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, JEDEC, IPC, Minitab, JMP, or equivalent quality tools.
• Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
