Senior Manager – WILP (Robotics)

Location: UK, London; on-site. The function supports regional sites across London, Boston and Vancouver.

What you will do

• Define the warehouse, inventory, logistics and planning strategy, operating model, governance, KPIs and roadmap.
• Build, lead and develop the WILP team across multiple sites, including hiring as the function grows.
• Establish planning and scheduling processes for prototype and NPI builds, evolving toward make-to-order, assemble-to-order and configure-to-order operations.
• Lead shortage management, available-to-promise processes, inventory counts, reconciliations, audits and stock optimisation.
• Design scalable logistics and fulfilment models, manage 3PLs, carriers and freight forwarders, and establish service levels and performance reviews.
• Build customer deployment playbooks covering kitting, pre-assembly, sequenced deliveries, milestone tracking, ETAs and risk communication.

Requirements

• 10+ years of direct experience across warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics and planning, ideally in manufacturing, robotics, technology, aerospace, defence, automotive or FMCG.
• Hands-on experience establishing or scaling WILP functions and leading multi-site or multi-region operations and external logistics partners.
• Expertise in S&OP, master scheduling, MRP, inventory optimisation, Incoterms, logistics-provider negotiations and global trade compliance.
• Working knowledge of export controls, including EAR, and logistics processes across the Americas, the UK and Europe.
• Experience with ERP/MRP, WMS, analytics tools such as Power BI, Google Workspace, Slack and database management.
• Degree in business, supply chain, procurement management, engineering or a related field; CIPS MCIPS Level 5 or equivalent. APICS CPIM is desirable.

Nice to have

• Start-up or scale-up experience building processes and teams from scratch.
• Experience selecting and implementing MRP/ERP systems while operating planning processes on spreadsheets or lightweight tools.
• Experience serving project-based or engineer-to-order customers.
• APICS CPIM certification.
