Data Analyst (Wholesale Banking Advanced Analytics)

What you will do

• Develop end-to-end analytics solutions, from requirements gathering and data sourcing through integration, modelling, insight generation, and visualization.
• Analyze large and complex datasets with SQL and Python, including PySpark, to identify trends, anomalies, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
• Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations with Power BI, Cognos, or similar business intelligence tools.
• Assess data sources, support data quality and profiling activities, and document analytical methods, assumptions, definitions, and results.
• Translate business priorities into analytical questions and collaborate with Product Managers, Process Leaders, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and other stakeholders.
• Guide and mentor junior and mid-level analysts while contributing to continuous improvement across the analytics team.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in data analytics, data visualization, statistics, or a related field.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on Python, especially PySpark, for data analysis and transformation.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, Superset, or another data visualization or business intelligence platform.
• Knowledge of data reporting, statistical analysis, analytical techniques, and quantitative problem-solving with large datasets.
• Ability to communicate clearly and align diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in English and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant quantitative, technical, economics, or engineering discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience with data pipelines and modern data platforms.
• Background in financial services or banking analytics.
• Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation and modelling.
• Understanding of predictive models, machine learning, and artificial intelligence concepts.
• Master’s degree, PhD, or advanced coursework in mathematics, statistics, and data analytics.
