Location: On-site, Monday to Friday, at offices in Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan

hirify.global is building an AI platform for autonomous driving that enables vehicles to learn from real-world experience and operate across complex urban environments.

What you will do

  • Lead fleet servicing and maintenance technicians and oversee preventive and reactive maintenance.
  • Optimise servicing and inspection schedules to maximise vehicle uptime and minimise downtime.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, track expenditure, and implement cost-saving initiatives without reducing service quality.
  • Ensure servicing operations comply with safety regulations, industry standards, internal policies, and risk-management requirements.
  • Coordinate mechanical upgrades and deployments while limiting operational disruption.
  • Analyse maintenance KPIs and fleet-performance data to improve workflows, efficiency, and servicing best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Service Manager in a dealership, fleet-management, or automotive-servicing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop high-performing maintenance teams.
  • Experience with scheduling, resource allocation, workflow optimisation, and operational oversight.
  • Deep understanding of safety regulations, risk management, and compliance in fleet-servicing environments.
  • Ability to communicate with internal teams, leadership, and external partners and make data-driven operational decisions.
  • Ability to work on-site in Tokyo and Yokohama from Monday to Friday; flexibility may be required for urgent fleet-servicing needs.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of ADAS technology and on-road testing requirements.
  • L2 Automobile Mechanic certification.
  • Japanese language ability at JLPT N2 or above.
  • Fluent English.
