Field Service Engineer (L1)

Location: 44600 Saint-Nazaire, France; responsible for field service across Toulouse, Perpignan, Frontignan, Nice, and Martigues, with travel to the Lyon region when required. Extensive travel and overnight stays are expected.

What you will do

• Provide planned maintenance and responsive technical service at customer sites.
• Identify faults, repair, test, and modify actuators in the field.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical actuator installations.
• Install retrofit adaptations, including components, pedestals, and drive shafts.
• Prepare accurate technical reports for every site visit.
• Travel extensively across the assigned region and support the Lyon region when needed.

Requirements

• Technical experience or relevant knowledge of electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic powertrains.
• Understanding of basic electronics, electrical theory, and fluid power theory.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and use common test and calibration tools.
• Practical engineering experience, including maintenance and troubleshooting; BTS Electrotechnics or MAI background.
• Experience in after-sales service or roaming field service.
• Fluent English, a full valid driving licence, and willingness to work in stressful customer-facing situations are required.
