Location: Filton, Bristol, United Kingdom. Onsite apprenticeship with two days per week initially at the hirify.global facility and the remainder at Weston College on the Filton site; college attendance decreases from the second year.

Salary: £23,064 per year.

What you will do

  • Complete placements across quality engineering and related functions.
  • Investigate problems through root cause analysis and support permanent corrective action.
  • Apply FMEA to identify risks in aircraft designs and manufacturing processes.
  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends and support data-driven decisions.
  • Perform design assurance and apply APQP across product development.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams across commercial aircraft programmes while completing the Level 4 qualification.

Requirements

  • A-level Maths and Physics at grade C or above, or a Level 3 engineering qualification at Merit or above.
  • Five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including Mathematics, English Language, and Science.
  • Interest in creative problem-solving, collaboration, learning, and quality-focused engineering.
  • CV must include grades and indicate whether they are predicted or achieved; a cover letter is required.
  • Current legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom for the full four-year programme is required.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must meet levy-funding eligibility requirements and pass BPSS screening.

Nice to have

  • Practical experience from projects, hobbies, academic work, or extracurricular activities.
