Principal DevOps Architect (Cloud)

Location: United States; fully remote. Requires 15% travel.

What you will do

• Define and implement enterprise DevOps, containerization, software release, and automation best practices.
• Design and maintain configuration management systems supporting the software development life cycle.
• Manage source code branching, merging, compilation, packaging, and versioning.
• Partner with cloud services, developers, testers, security, and IT operations to support deployments, containers, builds, and continuous integration.
• Develop automation scripts for build, deployment, and versioning activities.
• Lead complex technical initiatives, mentor DevOps engineers, and support service delivery excellence.

Requirements

• 15+ years of enterprise IT experience involving solution architecture, cloud platforms, software development, integration, and delivery leadership.
• Experience with enterprise DevOps, cloud architecture, containerization, software delivery, and automation.
• Strong coding skills with .NET 4 and .NET 8+; experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Vue.
• Strong SQL Server, SQL, data modeling, complex query, and performance tuning skills.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, OIDC, SAML 2.0, JWT authentication, and secure software solutions.
• Familiarity with AWS services and experience supporting government programs are preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
