Legal Counsel for UAE & Middle East (Software and IT Services)

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates; hybrid work arrangement with local office presence required when engaging with the Dubai office, business stakeholders, or authorities.

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day legal matters for the Dubai subsidiary and support other entities across the Middle East.
• Draft, review, and negotiate customer, supplier, and partner contracts, including software licensing, IT services, managed services, framework, and public-sector agreements.
• Provide practical legal guidance to Sales, Finance, Procurement, People & Culture, and other business stakeholders.
• Support regional projects, legal documentation, and contract-management activities in an international environment.
• Coordinate with Group Legal, Data Protection, Compliance, external lawyers, and specialist consultants.
• Support data-protection matters, including data-processing agreements and regulatory collaboration.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in law or an equivalent legal qualification.
• Knowledge of contract law and experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Commercial judgment and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
• Awareness of Middle Eastern legal and regulatory frameworks, including public-sector requirements.
• Fluent Arabic and English required for working with local and international stakeholders.
• Local presence in Dubai is required for engagement with the office, stakeholders, and authorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with software licensing, technology, or IT-services agreements.
• Exposure to data protection or technology-related regulatory frameworks.
• French-language capability.
