Staff AI Engineer (Architecture)

What you will do

• Design, prototype, and build production-ready agentic workflows, orchestration layers, and tool-calling integrations.
• Move AI prototypes into scalable, low-latency microservices on Azure and integrate them with the broader technology stack.
• Implement MCP, advanced RAG patterns, vector pipelines, and structured LLM outputs.
• Establish LLMOps practices for experiment tracking, evaluations, prompt engineering, latency optimization, token governance, and model observability.
• Lead technical design reviews, define coding standards, and mentor agent-focused engineering squads.
• Benchmark emerging models, tools, and architectures and translate relevant advances into production implementations.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks such as Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, OpenAI Agents SDK, or custom orchestration frameworks.
• Practical experience with MCP, tool and function calling, structured LLM outputs, embeddings, vector retrieval, hybrid search, and complex RAG pipelines.
• High proficiency in Python and strong object-oriented programming experience.
• Experience building backend microservices and REST/OpenAPI endpoints in Azure.
• Knowledge of vector and relational databases, event-driven patterns, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, testing, and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or Bicep.
• Experience with LLM evaluation, prompt engineering, tracing, context-window optimization, and production compute or token governance.
