Intern - Legal (Summer 2027)

Location: 1000 Walnut, Kansas City, Missouri 64106; mostly onsite. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

What you will do

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on banking, information technology, employment, and corporate governance topics.
• Review and summarize regulatory updates and guidance.
• Analyze department procedures and implement process improvements.
• Review, draft, and edit contracts and other agreement templates.
• Support intellectual property reviews and work with supervising attorneys across bank business lines.
• Report on project progress and complete a capstone presentation with other interns.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited law degree program.
• Ability to conduct thorough legal research using statutes, regulations, and other resources.
• Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, confidentiality, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
