Senior Full Stack Engineer (Basketball)

Location: Remote throughout the US; an office option is available in Manhattan, NY. Hiring is unavailable in AK, DE, HI, IA, LA, MS, MT, OK, and SC.

Salary: $140,000–$155,000 per year, plus potential equity, bonus, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and improve backend services and APIs for basketball scorekeeping, statistics, and post-game experiences.
• Extend existing endpoints and systems to support product capabilities such as post-game editing.
• Develop web features for basketball box scores and statistics.
• Own technical design, architecture, delivery, reliability, and performance for assigned projects.
• Partner with mobile engineers to support iOS and Android experiences and collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams.
• Write tested, maintainable code, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and contribute reusable tools and patterns.

Requirements

• Production experience delivering backend services and APIs with strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience developing web features with React.
• Depth in backend development, scalable system design, and performant code.
• Ability to independently design technical solutions and lead projects from requirements through release.
• Experience collaborating across teams, mentoring peers, and contributing to technical decisions.

• Familiarity with basketball, scorekeeping, or sports statistics.
