Intern, Government and Industry Affairs (Winter 2027) (Aerospace): Supporting government and industry affairs through stakeholder engagement, event coordination, legislative monitoring, and policy research with an accent on Canadian public policy, committee proceedings, and strategic engagement. Focus on tracking policy files, preparing concise internal reports, coordinating delegations and site tours, and developing medium- to long-term policy research projects.
Location: Hybrid role based in the Greater Toronto Area, with regular commuting to the Aircraft Assembly Centre near Toronto Pearson International Airport; occasional travel outside Canada may be required.

What you will do
- Report on event outcomes, strategic engagement opportunities, and key takeaways.
- Maintain calendars, invitee lists, RSVP tracking, stakeholder maps, and engagement histories.
- Coordinate briefing materials, logistics, site tours, delegations, and stakeholder visits.
- Track policy files through the legislative process and monitor relevant government committee proceedings.
- Prepare concise updates for internal stakeholders and develop one to two medium- or long-term policy research projects.
- Use Asana, Outlook, SharePoint, and related platforms to manage events, engagement, and policy files.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a university program in political science, public administration, international relations, communications, or a related field; the internship is not open to new graduates.
- Residence in the Greater Toronto Area and ability to commute to the aircraft assembly centre a few days per week.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian political system and public policy landscape.
- Experience in research, reporting, and stakeholder communications.
- Ability to monitor Canadian and international news media and work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Professional judgement, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive information and representing the company.
Nice to have
- Bilingualism in English and French.
- Familiarity with Power BI, SharePoint, Outlook, and Asana.
- Experience monitoring X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
