Adult Health/Medical-Surgical Clinical Faculty (Part-Time)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, USA; onsite clinical teaching required. Clinical schedules most commonly consist of 12-hour rotations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for three to four consecutive days.

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Teach adult health and medical-surgical nursing in onsite clinical settings with clinical partners.
• Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise students providing nursing care.
• Evaluate student performance and provide documented feedback based on course objectives.
• Prepare clinical assignments, grade coursework and clinical documentation, and support student remediation.
• Maintain current knowledge of clinical agency policies and communicate student or agency concerns to course leadership.
• Teach didactic content under the supervision of a course coordinator when assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Florida required.
• At least two years of registered nursing experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
• Illinois RN license will be required to teach all courses; assignments are prioritized for professors currently licensed in Illinois.
• Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, and supporting students and colleagues.
