Head of Talent Management Strategy

Location: Remote/Home-Based in the UK or United States

Base salary: $188,000–$282,000 per year for US-based candidates

What you will do

• Architect and scale an enterprise talent management strategy supporting business transformation, AI evolution, and organizational agility.
• Design and operationalize skills taxonomies, internal talent marketplaces, skills-based mobility, and gig-based development.
• Modernize succession planning for executive and critical roles and strengthen leadership pipelines.
• Own enterprise talent assessment methodology, calibration, performance enablement, coaching, and career mobility approaches.
• Identify future organizational capabilities and build targeted development strategies for key talent segments.
• Partner with People Analytics, HR Technology, and Learning & Development to deploy Workday Talent Optimization and AI talent-matching systems.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive talent management experience, including HR Business Partner experience.
• Experience designing and running enterprise succession planning and talent assessment processes.
• Experience partnering with senior and executive stakeholders on leadership bench strength and critical talent development.
• Experience building or operationalizing skills-based talent strategies, modern skills taxonomies, and talent marketplaces.
• Hands-on experience with modern talent technology ecosystems, People Analytics, data-driven decision-making, performance enablement, coaching, and feedback cultures.
• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.

Nice to have

• Mid-size company or life sciences/biotech experience.
• Change management certification.
