Visual Designer (AI)

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States

Base salary: $120,000–$160,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Create clear graphics and communications for physical and digital surfaces.
• Extend and document the brand system across presentations, product graphics, technical documentation, hardware, and merchandise.
• Build templates, tools, custom instructions, prompt libraries, and generation pipelines for AI-assisted brand production.
• Enable non-design teams to produce high-quality, on-brand materials and train them on the workflows.
• Support high-profile brand and marketing campaigns while scaling recurring production.
• Organize the brand asset library and keep templates and production tools current.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in graphic design, brand design, or visual communication.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong graphic design, typography, identity systems, template suites, or reusable tools.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or other modern design tools.
• Hands-on experience building with generative AI, including custom instructions, generation pipelines, automated templates, or code-based design tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain design decisions and train teammates.
• U.S. Person status or eligibility to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations is required for access to ITAR-controlled environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial design, print, hardware, technical documentation, user guides, data visualization, or technical diagrams.
• Experience at a startup, defense technology company, or fast-paced technical organization.
• Interest in defense, robotics, aerospace, or technically complex systems.
• Degree in graphic design, visual communication, industrial design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
