What you will do

  • Coordinate graduate academic and student services for Atmospheric Science, Geography, and Oceanography programs.
  • Support graduate directors and advisors with admissions, application processing, policies, procedures, registration concerns, degree audits, petitions, and degree plans.
  • Maintain applicant, graduate assistant, course, and program data using university systems including Banner, WebAdMIT, Applicant Information System, Compass, Howdy, TATEP, and CARS.
  • Support graduate student recruiting, orientation, professional development, and recognition activities.
  • Collect historical program data and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with graduate program directors to implement recruiting strategies and address department needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years of administrative or related experience.
  • Ability to use spreadsheet, database, presentation, and word-processing software.
  • Strong planning, organization, cooperation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and use standard office equipment.
  • Applicants are subject to a criminal history investigation and credential verification.

  • Master’s degree.
