Senior Manager, Data Governance

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site

What you will do

• Lead Personal & Business Banking data governance initiatives and maintain the implementation roadmap.
• Establish governance frameworks, policies, standards, roles, and accountability for information assets.
• Improve metadata collection, data quality, data classification, data protection, and stewardship practices.
• Maintain governance artifacts including application inventories, data dictionaries, sharing agreements, risk assessments, and issue tracking.
• Define quality and performance metrics, oversee reporting, and lead remediation of governance deficiencies.
• Collaborate with business, functional, technology, data stewards, senior management, and governance councils.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting enterprise-wide data governance and data quality monitoring.
• Experience with metadata ingestion, data mapping, business lineage, policy management, governance metrics, workflow and issue management, stewardship, classification, or data catalogues.
• At least 3 years of process engineering experience, including process development, project management, planning, and tracking.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and presentation skills.
• Must be legally eligible to work at the specified location in Canada and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.
