Wind Technician

Location: Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; office/site only

What you will do

• Lead daily operations at the Forty Mile wind farm to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance.
• Supervise turbine maintenance, troubleshooting, work execution, site inspections, and quality verification.
• Enforce safety standards, conduct inspections, and promote proactive risk management and compliance.
• Coach and develop technicians while coordinating headcount, service orders, inventory, and warehouse needs.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, service operations, and corporate leadership to improve asset performance and meet availability targets.
• Support clean-energy production, environmental stewardship, and site profitability.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in renewable energy, utilities, or industrial operations.
• Strong knowledge of wind-farm operations, maintenance planning, asset management, and health and safety compliance.
• Technical qualifications in engineering, electrical, mechanical, or a related field.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Fluent English required for international documentation, technical terms, and communication with customers, suppliers, and international colleagues.
