Software Engineer I (AI)

Location: United States clearance eligibility required; candidates must already hold a current TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.

Salary: $163,000–$178,000 per year, plus $41,000–$44,000 in immediately vested company 401(k) contributions.

What you will do

• Develop production agentic integrations in Python using multiple AI models, APIs, and data sources.
• Build tools and agentic workflows with frameworks such as PydanticAI, LangGraph, and DeepAgents.
• Integrate diverse data sources and external APIs with MCP tools for scalable system interoperability.
• Work with mission stakeholders to elicit requirements and devise solutions.
• Navigate customer data types to identify and extract relevant information.
• Collaborate with software engineers to test workflows, identify issues, and recommend fixes.

Requirements

• Current TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required before applying.
• Clearance sponsorship or processing is not available for this position.
• Three years of professional experience and a B.S. in a technical discipline, or four additional years of experience in place of the degree.
• Proficiency in Python, including JSON handling, REST API integration, and data manipulation.
• Experience using HTTP-based APIs to access data through queries.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, context management, structured outputs, and tool or function calling.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, Confluence, and presenting data analysis results to customers.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic workflows and multi-agent orchestration.
• Knowledge of SIGINT collection and analysis systems, cybersecurity, or security operations workflows.
• GitLab CI/CD automation experience.
• Experience with RAG, vector databases, or semantic search.
• Familiarity with CNO capabilities, artificial intelligence domains, AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
