Sourcing Specialist (Product Development) - Remote

Location: Remote, associated with the corporate headquarters at 26677 Agoura Road, Calabasas, California, United States; 15–30% overseas travel required.

Salary: $87,600–$131,500 per year, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Build detailed knowledge of the product base and connected company databases.
• Support the development of strategic vendor bases for prioritized product categories.
• Evaluate vendors based on delivery performance, product quality, and cost requirements.
• Support product transitions from vendor sourcing through costing, sampling, and laboratory quality testing.
• Identify new products using vendor, portfolio, and market data and present recommendations to cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with merchandising, packaging, quality, manuals, and sourcing teams to deliver enterprise objectives.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant and progressive retail buying experience, or 2 years in project management or new product development.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with hardline products, product development, factory evaluations, and overseas manufacturers.
• Ability to research products and trends, analyze supplier proposals, and generate and interpret sales reports and data.
• Proficiency with computers, automated processes, and business systems.
• Strong attention to detail, urgency, collaboration, adaptability, self-direction, and results orientation.
