Quality Automation Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote in Canada

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 CAD annually for Ontario residents

What you will do

• Design and maintain automated functional tests for IT Asset Management products.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and prioritize automation based on risk, impact, and coverage.
• Configure automated testing environments and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions with developers.
• Perform manual testing where automation is not suitable and document software defects.
• Participate in code reviews and improve code quality and testability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, with 3+ years of quality engineering experience.
• Strong experience designing automated test scripts with Selenium, NUnit, TestNG, MSTest, or equivalent frameworks.
• Proficiency in C#, Go, Python, or another relevant programming language.
• Technical expertise in cloud computing, preferably AWS, including Terraform and VPC.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles, agile methodologies, and continuous integration.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Git and Jenkins.
