Quality Lab Coordinator (Adhesives Manufacturing)

Location: On-site at the Piedras Negras plant, Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. Flexible rotating shifts, including weekend coverage or a 4x4 shift structure.

What you will do

• Execute physical and chemical laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished adhesive products.
• Authorize quality release of manufacturing batches according to corporate specifications.
• Identify, segregate, document, and escalate non-conforming materials and critical quality incidents.
• Record inspection results in the Quality Management System and use SAP for quality inventory movements and inspection lot data.
• Conduct quality audits and line clearance checks on production and packaging floors.
• Verify laboratory equipment, perform calibration checks, maintain 5S standards, and prepare shift-handover reports.

Requirements

• Current residence in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, with reliable transportation to the plant is required.
• Final-year student or recent graduate of a technical degree or engineering bachelor's program in Chemical, Industrial, Materials, or a related field.
• Availability for flexible rotating shifts, including weekend or 4x4 schedules.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills for data entry, reporting, and metric tracking.
• Ability to follow technical procedures, Material Safety Data Sheets, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Autonomy, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills for managing laboratory operations with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Exposure to SAP QM or other ERP software.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing through laboratory projects, internships, or technical residencies.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 5S, Lean, technical data sheets, certificates of analysis, and process flowcharts.
• Basic knowledge of chemical handling, chemical safety regulations, polymers, or adhesive characteristics.
