Senior Business Analyst and UI Designer

What you will do

• Perform Business Analysis for an Agile software development team supporting a large-scale federal program for the US Customs and Border Protection client.
• Elicit, define, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, subject matter experts, stakeholders, developers, and testers.
• Create as-is and to-be business process models, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, flow diagrams, wireframes, and UI mockups.
• Define, prioritize, and groom the product backlog in JIRA with the government Product Owner.
• Facilitate JAD sessions, sprint and increment planning, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies; estimate story sizing and track team velocity.
• Maintain requirements documentation, support milestone reviews, perform gap analyses, and track decisions and action items through deployment.

Requirements

• 4–5 years of Business Analysis experience, including client-facing requirements elicitation.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies and experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience defining business process models, user stories, use cases, and functional and non-functional requirements; BPMN knowledge is preferred.
• Advanced experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence, plus Microsoft Office tools and MS Visio.
• Experience with UI/UX design and tools such as Axure, JustInMind, iRise, or Balsamiq.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently under sprint and increment timeboxes.

• Experience working in a consulting environment on a large federal program.
• Prior experience with US Customs and Border Protection projects.
• Experience acting as a Scrum Master or Agile team facilitator.
• Ability to identify value-added services and address client gaps and challenges.
