Lead Business Analyst (UI/UX)

What you will do

• Perform business analysis on an Agile software development team supporting a large-scale federal program for the US Customs and Border Protection client.
• Elicit, define, and document functional and non-functional requirements with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, subject matter experts, stakeholders, developers, and testers.
• Create as-is and to-be business process models, user stories, acceptance criteria, flow diagrams, wireframes, and UI mockups.
• Facilitate JAD sessions, sprint planning, increment planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in JIRA and requirements documentation in Confluence.
• Track story sizing, team velocity, development progress, deployment schedules, action items, and project milestones.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of business analysis experience, including client-facing requirements elicitation.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, full SDLC delivery, and software development from kickoff through deployment.
• Experience defining functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and business process models; BPMN knowledge is preferred.
• Advanced experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence, plus Microsoft Office and MS Visio.
• Experience with UI/UX design and tools such as Axure, JustInMind, iRise, or Balsamiq.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, communicate with technical and business stakeholders, and meet sprint and increment deadlines.

• Consulting experience on large federal programs and senior-level client liaison experience.
