Guidewire Technical Consultant

Location: 100% remote within the Continental United States

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop Guidewire configurations and customizations across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter using Gosu.
• Implement product model changes, business rules, validation rules, entity model extensions, and PCF customizations.
• Build and maintain integrations using messaging, batch processes, plugins, Integration Gateway, and connected policy, claims, billing, payment, document, and reinsurance systems.
• Support Guidewire Cloud upgrades, configuration refactoring, cloud-native patterns, automated testing, and regression suites.
• Profile and optimize Gosu logic and database queries using systematic measurement and data-driven validation.
• Participate in code and design reviews, troubleshoot production issues, document technical decisions, and collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and insurance SMEs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Five or more years of Guidewire development experience with meaningful production implementations for insurance carriers.
• Deep Gosu programming, Guidewire data model, product model, and rule-design expertise.
• Hands-on customization experience with PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter and experience building messaging, batch, or plugin integrations.
• Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud Platform, strong SQL skills, and understanding of the Guidewire database schema.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Guidewire ACE certification.
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud upgrades, Digital portals, DataHub, or InfoCenter.
• Insurance expertise across property and casualty lines, reinsurance, policy administration, or claims modernization.
