TL;DR
Associate, EPC Procurement (Renewable Energy): Supporting competitive EPC sourcing, bid evaluation, contract negotiations, and contract administration across wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects with an accent on cost analysis, commercial risk mitigation, and contractor selection. Focus on bid levelization, aligning EPC and major equipment agreements, analyzing supply-chain and tariff impacts, and coordinating cross-functional project financing diligence.

Location: Hybrid-based in Houston, Texas; Scottsdale, Arizona; Denver, Colorado; or San Francisco, California. Houston is preferred.

Salary: $95,000–$135,000 USD annual base pay, plus eligibility for an annual cash bonus.

What you will do

  • Support sourcing strategies and competitive RFx bidding for EPC contracts across wind, solar, and BESS projects.
  • Review bids, perform Excel-based bid levelization, identify cost drivers, and track cost movements during negotiations.
  • Support contract negotiations by identifying and mitigating cost, schedule, scope, commercial, and contractor risks.
  • Review scopes of work and supply, establish interfaces across EPC and major equipment packages, and support contract administration.
  • Analyze market intelligence covering tariffs, supply-chain conditions, geopolitical factors, legislation, and policy changes affecting pricing and schedules.
  • Coordinate with Development, Engineering, Construction, Legal, Finance, Operations, contractors, and lenders on project execution and financing diligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, procurement and supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in EPC contracting, procurement, commercial management, or negotiations.
  • Experience with project management, contracting, procurement, or negotiations for large-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a solid understanding of contract language and negotiation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, OneNote, and document control.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% and ability to work from one of the specified U.S. office locations.

Nice to have

  • Two or more years of renewable energy EPC contracting or procurement experience across wind, solar, and/or BESS.
  • Experience supporting EPC procurement or contracting across multiple renewable energy technologies.
  • Experience with wind repowering, co-located solar and BESS, or other complex renewable energy projects.
